Dr Chan Po Fun,
Consultant Cardiologist

MBBS (S'pore), MMed (S'pore), MRCP (UK), FRCP (UK), FAMS (Cardiology), FESC

Dr Chan is a consultant cardiologist with over 15 years of clinical experience, previously serving as Heart Failure Lead and Director of the Cardiac Diagnostic Laboratory at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

She now runs her own practice in Singapore, with subspecialty interests in:

  • Women's heart health — how cardiovascular disease presents and progresses differently in women

  • Lipid management — cholesterol and Lp(a) assessment and long-term treatment planning

  • Longevity & preventive cardiology — reducing long-term cardiovascular risk before symptoms appear

She holds certifications from the Heart Failure Association of the ESC and the National Board of Echocardiography (USA), and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

She provides structured, evidence-based care tailored to each stage of a woman’s life, from early adulthood to menopause and beyond. Patients are seen personally throughout their care journey.

Her approach

Dr Chan's consultations are unhurried and detail-first.

Before deciding on tests, she takes a full history, including hormonal and reproductive history, so that any care plan reflects your actual life, not a generic checklist.

Patients often describe her approach as calm and methodical, especially useful when symptoms are vague or anxiety-provoking rather than textbook.
